I absolutely love this story of yours! It reminds me of when I was twenty-three and decided to dye my long, blonde, beautiful hair brown. I was walking around a new campus in grad school, and no heads turned! No looks. No smiles. No one looked in my direction. I KNEW it was my hair and that I had made a major mistake. Just like you, I was known as the pretty girl with the long, blonde, beautiful hair, and that’s how I saw myself. So I was no longer pretty, and I had proof because no one looked at me.
So Brianna, just wait. Wait until you’re in your sixties and no one looks because you’re an older woman. It’s really eye opening. It’s life changing. But in a good way. Because you learn that although no one turns their heads, people remember you for even better reasons, and you like yourself even more.
And by the way, I’m so glad you recommended one of my stories because it made me take a look at one of yours, and I love your writing style!
