I can’t agree with you. Not only have I been very sick and still extremely thirsty, but my father-in-law was dying of pancreatic cancer and still wanted water. Not food, but water.
I also disagree that all of us would prefer to die in our own beds. Of course we’d prefer to be at home, surrounded by our families and friends, but our own bed is not what makes the process more comfortable. Besides, I don’t know about your experience with the dying process at home, but mine has been that most die in a rented hospital bed.
