I find this so interesting, Virginia. I am a non-practicing Jew and agnostic, as well. Probably the only reason I feel any connection to Judaism is the fact that I grew up in Beverly Hills, a city that has always been approximately 99 percent Jewish. I can’t imagine converting to anyone’s religion, for the simple reason that my religion is a part of who I am — part of my identity as an independent person. I feel as though you were not true to yourself, and that saddens me. I am happy for you now that you are whole again.
