I see you’re being a good daughter. I would never have taken care of my parents the way you’re doing. Thankfully, they always had the means to take care of themselves because I couldn’t have done it.

Interesting how I’m almost your mother’s age. I have two daughters — twenty-seven and thirty-two. One of my daughters would happily come over immediately to help me out if I wasn’t feeling well, and the other one wouldn’t know anything happened unless she saw it on Facebook.
