Katie, after reading your response, I wandered over to your profile page, because I wanted to know more about Poppy before replying to you. I read several of your stories, and my heart is hurting for you. Yes, I see what you mean about connecting strongly with my “sentiment of bravery.” I am so very sorry that you are going through this terrible pain. I have two daughters, so I can actualize your grief. Both of them were very sick preemies, and I still have nightmares from that period in my life. I’ve written about it here, if you’re interested.

We actually have a lot in common. My father was a lawyer, and my ex husband is a practicing attorney. And like you, I went to college to study theater (my mother was a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts).
