Yes, S Lynn Knight, but I wish it hadn’t taken me this long to realize. I kept blaming and blaming and talking about my father to whomever would listen. Therapy didn’t help. It wasn’t until after he was gone that I realized that there was no longer anyone here that I could accuse, so it was then that I looked at myself and said, “What the hell are you doing? Do you want to feel better or do you want to keep on rehashing why you are the way you are and dwell on your misfortune?”

How smart of you to know all this at an earlier age and not waste as much time as I did. On the other hand, I am grateful that I did finally get it and also learned not to dwell on things I can’t do anything about, so yes, “down and done!”
