You have a good memory, K. I had actually published this story back in January of 2016 a month after I began writing on Medium. Has it been that long since we’ve been following each other? It was Thom’s idea for me to republish a few stories that weren’t widely read now that I have more than a few followers. The one I published yesterday has taken off rather nicely.

And no, being a child in my situation was never easy. I am just grateful to have survived, carrying fewer scars than could have been the case. Love to you ❤
